Our Classes
At the Kelly Academy of Irish Dance, we offer Irish dance classes for dancers ages 2 and up. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to build strong technique, confidence, performance skills, and a genuine love for Irish dance in a fun, structured, and encouraging environment.
Dancers are placed in age‑appropriate levels and progress as their skills, confidence, and readiness develop. Each level builds upon the last, supporting long‑term growth and enjoyment of Irish dance.
Alongside solo training, dancers may also participate in céilí team classes, where teamwork, musicality, coordination, and the shared joy of dancing together are emphasized.
Beginner Classes

Beyond Beginner Classes
As dancers progress, they move into higher‑level classes with more advanced training focused on technique, performance quality, and competition readiness.
Advanced levels continue to strengthen posture, turnout, precision, musical understanding, and stage presence. Training remains structured and supportive, with dancers encouraged to set realistic goals and take pride in their progress.
In addition to regular classes, KAID offers workshops and private lessons for dancers seeking additional support or preparing for competitive opportunities.

Ceili Classes
Ceili team classes are an important and valued part of the KAID program. Rooted in Irish tradition and culture, ceili dancing has been passed down through generations as a form of social and community dancing, celebrating teamwork, music, and connection through movement.
These classes focus on teamwork, timing, spacing, musical awareness, and group choreography, while also strengthening dancers’ technique and deepening their understanding of the fundamentals of Irish dance.
Through ceili training, dancers develop strong listening skills, precision, footwork, posture, rhythm, and awareness of others on stage. It also builds camaraderie, confidence, discipline, and a sense of shared accomplishment.
Participation in ceili classes is encouraged when appropriate, and dancers are invited based on readiness, age, and dance level. For many dancers, ceili team training becomes one of the most rewarding and memorable parts of their Irish dance experience.
